Textiles

This term in textiles I am going to make a pin cushion because to demonstrate competency. The main project is a hoodie. 

Food Technology

Today is our first lesson in Food Technology. In this unit of work we are making healthy food.Today we made Cinnamon apple muffins.

Vinyl pencil case

I have recycled vinyl from an old pool toy, and made it into a pencil case. The challenging part was getting the sewing machine to sew the vinyl. I had issues with the zipper, the sewing machine would not sew the zipper and vinyl together. I resolved the problem by asking Mrs Reeves to help me. 

My outcome is finished and it is fit for purpose. I am happy with how it looks and next time I will make a smaller size. 

                           

Textiles

This term I am taking textiles as an optional subject. 

We are getting ready to make paper bag shorts.
The colors we could choose from were antique pink, dusty pink, black, and olive.
I chose black for my shorts. It is a simple pattern.
It will have an elastic waist and they will be short shorts. We have 15 periods to sew them.
This project should be fun because I like sewing and it's a simple pattern. 

Hormones

During Puberty we learned about different hormones and their functions

Communication

We were learning about different ways to communicate some are face expressions,body,language and gestures.
